Designtech, the hub that brings the world of design closer to the world of new technologies, which is also the publisher of Startupbusiness, is realising an innovative programme of events and initiatives on the occasion of Milan Design Week, which takes place from 7 to 13 April 2025.
The programme is called Play3D – Sound, Shape, Surprise and is an immersive, multi-sensory experience that transforms CoFactory into a laboratory for experimentation between design, technology and new forms of expression. Sound, Shape and Surprise become the three key elements of a dynamic and interactive journey, where art and innovation redefine the boundaries of creativity.
Sound: sound vibrations shape the space, amplifying perception and interaction with the installations; Shape: three-dimensional structures emerge and transform thanks to the digital fabrication and large-format 3D printing technologies available at CoFactory; Surprise: musical performances, interactive installations and sensory pathways generate a unique journey between innovation, aesthetics and sustainability.
Every day during Milan Design Week, CoFactory becomes the hub of a new design culture, an environment where art, technology and advanced manufacturing intertwine to create immersive experiences and innovative products. In addition to hosting installations and performances, CoFactory establishes itself as an international business lounge, welcoming delegations of entrepreneurs and professionals looking for valuable connections and insights into the innovation trends that will shape the industry in the coming years.
During Milan Design Week, Cofactory welcomes two delegations from China and Brazil, reinforcing Designtech’s role as a bridge between the Italian design ecosystem and emerging global markets, and hosts a palimpsest of installations, talks and events exploring the future of design, materials and sustainable production.
