In&Valid, the start-up that uses AI to support disabled people and carers

In&Valid is the start-up that was created with a clear social mission: to create a new ecosystem of services for people with disabilities and their caregivers. Through the use of advanced technology and artificial intelligence, In&Valid offers a unique digital environment designed to meet the needs of each individual, promoting inclusiveness.

According to a note released by the start-up, in Italy, according to data from the National Observatory on Health in the Italian Regions, almost 13 million people live with a disability, a figure that represents 22% of the population. Next to them, more than seven million family caregivers take care of their daily assistance, playing a fundamental role often without concrete support. Behind this important dimension lies a complex reality, made up of daily challenges related to physical, social and cultural barriers. The need for innovative and accessible answers to improve the lives of this important part of society is more urgent than ever because every person with a disability has the right to live his or her life to the full.

“The name ‘In&Valid’ perfectly embodies our mission and redefines the concept of the invalid understood as unfit, incapable or disabled. The ‘In’ for us represents inclusion, while with the term ‘Valid’ we celebrate and enhance the unique potential of each person. Through technology and services we want to redefine this concept, turning it into a driving force for change and social equity,’ says Daniele Pace founder of In&Valid.

The In&Valid platform simplifies access to public benefits, such as welfare incentives, incapacity pensions and benefits under Law 104, through a direct channel with the INCA patronage, which will provide coverage for services throughout the country. The platform also gives direct access to four other categories of services: private initiatives in the territory, including incentives in the cultural, sports, social and hospitality fields; personal and group psychological support, thanks to a team of In&Valid specialists and an innovative accompaniment model; vocational training and job placement in collaboration with qualified partners.

The beating heart of this innovation is the technology behind the platform, which, through AI models and deep learning on a person’s data, makes it possible to tailor each service to the specific needs of the user, creating a unique and totally customised path. Accessibility, customisation, and inclusiveness are at the heart of the design of the platform, which complies with WCAG (web content accessibility guideline) standards and supports multiple languages.

The In&Valid platform is designed to be scalable, easily adapting to different regulatory and cultural contexts, with the ambition to rapidly expand beyond national borders. The aim is to become a global reference in the field of social, cultural and labour inclusion, bringing its innovative proposal to all countries of the world.

“Being an In&Valid means embracing one’s uniqueness and transforming it, in the best possible way, into a strength. With this platform we want to simplify and innovate access to services, but above all to create tailor-made pathways that enhance the potential of each individual. Technology allows us to enhance the data that people share with us, transforming them into tools for concrete growth. This will be a revolution for the many people who, like me, have suffered the difficulties of navigating a fragmented and poorly culturally evolved system,’ Pace concludes.
