Arxax, a cleantech start-up active in the green transition of road transport, announces that it has raised EUR 1 million to accelerate the development of its telematics-based intelligent refuelling network.
The investment was finalised by Acceleratore Zero, the programme dedicated to cleantech that is part of CDP Venture Capital’s National Accelerator Network, with a follow-on investment in which CDP Venture Capital and Zest participated, and by EIT Urban Mobility. In addition, Arxax obtained further financial support through grants from Invitalia’s Smart and Start programme and from the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.
Arxax is building a smart zero- and low-emission refuelling network, enabling transport companies to access environmentally friendly energy sources at strategically located refuelling stations optimised for their fleet operations, reducing costs and lowering carbon emissions.
“As a female founder, getting this investment is an endorsement of the growing recognition of women-led innovation in the energy transition,” says Elham Hassanzadeh, founder and CEO of Arxax (pictured with the team), in a note. “This investment will allow us to scale the team, expand our network of refuelling hubs and strengthen partnerships with major industry players. We are creating a smooth and data-driven energy transition for road transport, ensuring sustainability and efficiency in perfect balance’.
“We are very pleased with the investment in Arxax, a company that fits perfectly into our investment strategy,” adds Stefano Molino, Head of the Accelerators Fund of CDP Venture Capital. “The intelligent refuelling network developed by Arxax improves the economic efficiency of road transport and reduces pollution, promoting more sustainable mobility both financially and environmentally. We strongly believe in the potential of this team and are convinced that it can establish itself as a leader in the sector’.
Matteo Consonni, head of portfolio management at EIT Urban Mobility says: ‘We believe Arxax has the potential to generate both solid financial returns and a significant environmental impact. Their innovative approach to low-carbon refuelling infrastructure is perfectly in line with our mission to promote sustainable mobility solutions across Europe. This investment reflects our confidence in the Arxax team and their ability to develop a smart, data-driven network that meets the evolving needs of the transport sector.”
