BESTtt, Translated’s new project to enhance talent

BESTtt, Best Talent in Tech Italy is the new project developed by Translated, the scaleup operating in the world of translations with artificial intelligence, which aims to identify and enhance programming talent in Italy.

The aim is to create opportunities so that the best developers can express themselves and grow without feeling forced to go abroad, facilitating connections with technological excellence and countering the widespread perception that there are few opportunities in Italy.

“Talent is evenly distributed, but in Italy it is difficult to identify the best professionals in the field of technology before they receive offers from abroad,” Marco Trombetti, founder and CEO of Translated, said in a note. “Too many people think that there are very few opportunities here, when in fact there are several excellences in the field of technology. With BESTtt we want to shine a spotlight on our talents and create connections that will help us increasingly compete with world leaders.”

BESTtt is based on an innovative ranking system, based on recognition within the communities, developed by getCredible, a start-up that was born in the Translated network, and in which Translated itself has invested through its Pi Campus investment fund. Anyone can register on besttt.translated.com to nominate the three best technology talents they know, regardless of their profession. Voting will remain open until 14 April 2025 and the list of the 50 best talents will be made public and distributed through the media. The aim is to create a virtuous circle: on the one hand to bring out new opportunities for talent and on the other hand to enable companies to identify them before they leave the country.

Fostering the aggregation of talent has always been crucial for Translated. For this reason, the company has created a unique campus in Rome, where professionals from both established companies and startups meet to participate in activities aimed at promoting psychological and physical well-being as well as knowledge sharing, creating daily networking opportunities to stimulate discussion. Thanks to this focus, Translated has attracted such a density of talent that it has been able to develop advanced machine translation systems including Lara, an AI for translation capable of approaching the quality of the best professional translators.
